What is an escape game room?
An escape game room is a timed, interactive, life-size puzzle designed to test your problem-solving skills. Each room has a unique story; but the goal is always to escape the room before time runs out!
How many people can play?
The Diamond Heist Each can have 2-8 participants. The Haunting and the Moonshine Mayhem game can have 2-10 participants. Our Mad Scientist can have 2-12 participants. You can play with family members, a group of friends, or colleagues from work.
How early do I need to show up before my reserved playing time?
You should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early before your game time. This will allow you time to check in and fill out your release form. You can also fill out your release form prior.
Can I book a private event for my group or a team building activity for my workplace?

Is the game safe?
Yes. There is real-time monitoring in all of the escape game rooms. You are able to exit the game prematurely if needed. Although one of our games is based on the concept of fear, you will not cross paths with creatures that jump out and scare you such as those you would see in a haunted house.
I have filled out a release form with Smoky Mountain Escape Games before. Do I need to fill out another one for a different room?
Yes. We need a form filled out for each room you play.
Why participate in an escape room game?
Smoky Mountain Escape Games offers an experience different from other classic activities done as a group. With our escape game rooms, you have the opportunity to put your concentration, observation, and decision-making abilities to practice and have fun working as a team to reach the ultimate goal of escaping.
What if my group does not have enough people to fill all the spots allowed per game?
It is perfectly fine to bring a smaller group to play! Be aware though that any spots that are not booked will be filled by other participants. It is a unique way to make new friends!
How do I pay for my reservation?
It is preferred you pay online when you reserve your playing time; but you may bring your payment with you the day of your reservation.
How difficult is the game?
Do you have to wear special costumes to play the game?
No. However, we recommend that you bring the least amount of personal belongings and accessories with you in order to move around comfortably and quickly during the game.
Can I drink alcohol, use tobacco products, or vape while participating in one of the escape game rooms?
No. Alcohol and tobacco are not allowed inside Smoky Mountain Escape Games.
Did you know that escape game rooms were originally created to bring a video game concept to life? By creating themed scenarios with puzzles and riddles for people to solve, the interactive environment allows individuals to become a part of a story with the goal to solve the challenges at hand to escape the room. Just like in video games such as “Escape Room” and “Escape Game,” individuals solve puzzles and progress through tasks to reach the end – as if they are moving from one level to another. Ultimately, after solving all the puzzles, they reach the end of the challenge and escape. Escape game rooms are unique in that they allow people to experience first hand the thrill of a life-like video game where they can solve a series of puzzles and test their wit.
There are a wide variety of escape game rooms around the world – with varying themes, styles, and challenges. We have set our escape game rooms apart from others by having themes all ages can participate in; including our exclusive Moonshine Mayhem story only found at Smoky Mountain Escape Games. Most escape game room attractions are set up in small rooms where it can feel cramped and claustrophobic while playing the game with multiple people. Our escape game rooms are larger and designed with plenty of space to allow up to 8 people to play at a time without feeling claustrophobic – which makes us the largest escape games attraction in the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area.
